From Tatiana's TOMATOBase
|Leaf type||regular, potato|
|Variety type||open-pollinated, commercial heirloom|
- Old US commercial variety, developed By Alexander Livingston in 1875.
- Click here to view a page from 1888 Burpee Seed Catalog as Craig LeHoullier's website. The description from the catalog says:
- "Quite early and handsome; fruit smooth, and of a deep purplish-red color. This tomato has, in many localities, rotted considerably, and we would recommend either Burpee's Climax or the Essex Early Hybrid as more worthy of reliance for a market crop."
- Some sources list it as potato leaf variety, and some sources list it as regular leaf.
